Denmark has been quick to recognise that clean air and natural beauty can help contribute towards overall happiness as it was the first country in the world to implement an environmental law back in 2009. From its sustainable architecture to its ‘free trees for citizens’ initiative (page 12), the capital, Copenhagen, has been at the forefront of these efforts.  There are, however, plenty of ways individuals can make a positive impact too.
