THE CBD SPECIALISTS’ CREATING GOOD KARMA ON THE COAST OF TYNEMOUTH

Karma Coast was founded in 2018 by partners Dylan and Magdalena to improve quality of life, naturally, using whole plant CBD extracts from cannabis hemp. Since then, their company has gone from strength to strength. With a combined experience of over 20 years in health and wellness, and a specialist understanding of medicinal cannabis, Karma Coast has led the way in the UK. Using only the finest raw ingredients from around the world to create groundbreaking new products, Karma Coast has changed the lives of countless people over the last two years. North England Prestige spoke to one half of the duo, Dylan, to find out more.

How did you become involved in the CBD industry?

I had always been highly interested in the power of plant medicine and came to realise that the cannabis plant has the most medicinal potential. A high-quality CBD product can change people’s lives and we saw a gap in the market for providing medicinal quality products to the UK. Magdalena and I have always been passionate about helping people. Magda is a trained nutritionist who had spent a lot of time researching CBD, and the newly emerging CBD market in the UK was the perfect opportunity to start a business from a subject we were very passionate about.

Where did the idea for Karma Coast come from?

The name Karma Coast, I like to think, has a metaphysical feel to it. Matter of fact though, we are creating good karma every day, and we are located at the coast!  Our idea is not only to create excellent products but also provide education to go alongside them. Our dispensary in Tynemouth regularly hosts ‘Karma Conversations’ – talks by professionals looking into the way we live in the modern stressful age. We offer complimentary consultations both in Tynemouth and over video or phone link worldwide. We believe our clients will gain a greater benefit from our products if they can learn more about how they work with the body.

What is the current legal status of CBD in the UK?

CBD is fully legal in the UK and has been since 2016. However, extracting CBD from the hemp plant remains illegal. This is why all CBD products are imported from overseas. As a compliant CBD company, there are many challenges put in our way. From opening a bank account to the inability to advertise with Google and social media – there are always new hoops to jump through. These are all teething problems though and will be ironed out soon in this new emerging market which is proving to be the fastest-growing industry in history.

What measures are in place to ensure the safety and quality of the products?

We pride ourselves on the quality and safety of all our products. To start, only the finest organic hemp plants are used with certified organic status. This is very important to ensure CBD quality and guarantee no heavy metals or pesticides end up in the products. Our extraction technique is state-of-the-art to ensure every beneficial compound makes it to the end product. Our oils are extracted by PhD scientists with a wealth of experience in the industry and who genuinely care about the end product. The oils are tested numerous times through production for quality, and then a final lab report for each product is available on our website.

What are the benefits of using CBD products?

In a nutshell, CBD greatly improves the body’s ability to heal itself. This is the reason it is being used to treat a variety of conditions from epilepsy to arthritis. The main reasons clients reach out to us though are pain, sleep, anxiety, depression and stress issues, although the list of other treatable conditions is vast. CBD works by helping bring about homeostasis (balance) to the body. When we are balanced our healing potential is greatly increased. We believe everyone can benefit from CBD supplementation and month-on-month we see an increasing number of people turning to us as an alternative to western pharmaceutical medicine.

How can clients determine which products are most suited to their needs?

It’s helpful to speak to a cannabinoid specialist here at Karma Coast when choosing a product. We have a live chat option on our website and offer free consultations in our dispensary, over the phone or video link too. One helpful tip though is to start with a low dose and slowly build up until you reach what we call your ‘sweet spot’ or optimal dose. This differs from person to person which is why we developed the ‘starter oil’ which allows the user more room to manoeuvre when experimenting with dosage.

Are there any exciting changes or developments in the pipeline at Karma Coast?

We have recently developed a world-first with our inhaler pen – The Karma Pen Deluxe. It’s more concentrated and pure than anything else available and is proving extremely effective for our clients. We are constantly looking to innovate new ways to improve the quality of life for our clients. We have some groundbreaking new products in development that we will release later this year.
